Jaguar Wave offers mmWave wireless transmission technology to Welink, a wireless broadband technology and internet service provider in the USA, has successfully deployed wireless gigabit broadband network in the Las Vegas communities to realize the download / upload rate of 940Mbps. Now the wireless gigabit broadband solution is gradually promoted to other cities in America, and also to the UK recently.
Challenge
WeLink aims to work with local governments to bring wireless broadband access to neighborhoods in need of high-speed internet, so every family in the community can enjoy ultra-fast internet at little cost.
Solution
The outdoor mmWave device receives signal of operator’s base station to provide broadband for the house, delivers at a high data rate of 2.5 Gbps at 1km. The mmWave device is small and lightness, can be fast installed in almost any environment, so fiber laying is not needed.
Multiple outdoor mmWave devices provide network connection for other houses while receiving signal of base station.
Indoor network signal supplied via the outdoor mmWave device which connected with wireless router and EoC device by cable. The wireless router provides wireless coverage for rooms. The EoC device transmits network signal to each room through the existing cable, then provides the RJ45 wired network signal for each room through the EoC mode.
Results
The mmWave transmission device is easy to install, which is suitable for low-density communities in the USA. Benefit from rapid deployment through the use of existing publicly-owned infrastructure, such as roofs and street poles, large network coverage can be completed, without high labor and time cost.
The band of mmWave is far away from other common wireless frequency bands, which has strong anti-interference ability to ensure the stability and security of signal transmission.
