Always in urban villages, wireless network coverage is difficult due to high housing density and the imperfection of infrastructure. With support from Jaguar Wave, China Mobile installed mmWave devices to solve the problem of 5G mobile signal coverage in buildings.
Jilong Village in Shenzhen has been built for a long time, with a large number of people and crowded buildings that makes it difficult to build mobile base stations and causes poor mobile signal, so a reliable and effective network transmission method is needed to solve the problem of poor 5G mobile signal.
Based on the actual situation of Jilong Village, Jaguar Wave provided the mmWave wireless transmission solution for China Mobile. Our mmWave device JW-PTP6151 connected to the fiber to provide 5G mobile signal coverage for Jilong Village.
The wireless transmission throughput between two mmWave devices is stable at 1.8Gbps with a distance of 420m, low latency of 1ms, and the packet loss rate is about 0.01 %.
The peak rate captured by the BBU is 780Mbps.
The connection rate, switching success rate and disconnection index showed good when PTP-6151 accessed to 5G network. The average downward throughput fluctuated at 160 Mbps with the peak value reached 315 Mbps.
The mmWave device has the advantages of good transmission performance, strong anti-interference ability, network security and stability, which providing a good network experience for end users. The device is small and light, easy to transport and install, and has low power consumption, which greatly saves operating costs and reduces base station construction costs, helps operators promote the construction of wireless networks in urban village and enhance user experience.
