mmWave PTP/PtMP: JW-PTP6151 JW-PTP6030 JW-PTP6021
In recent years, plenty of smart light poles have been put into use, which are the important sources of collecting, transmitting, storing and analyzing information. Jaguar Wave applied mmWave devices to smart light poles in Shenzhen Futian Bonded Zone, to achieve wireless high-speed data transmission.
1. There is a large amount of road monitoring video data from smart light poles every day. The traditional data backhaul cannot support the needs of smart city management, and a high-speed real-time backhaul method is urgently needed.
2. As Smart light poles can combine other poles into one, so most of the installation sites will change. Re-laying fibers is time-consuming and laborious, so we need wireless communication which can be flexibly networking.
3. Some emergency information is sensitive, so the information transmission network should be safe and reliable.
We selected four smart light poles at the subway station intersection, installed mmWave devices, established mmWave wireless network through PTP/PtMP methods to achieve high-speed data backhaul.
Device A on light pole 1 is connected to the switch to provide an external network channel for data transmission.
Device B and C on light pole 5 are connected by cables, of which Device C aligns to bus lane, so vehicle-ground communication channel can be reserved in the future.
Device D on light pole 6 is connected with a camera and a WiFi router.
Device E and F on light pole 10 are connected by cables. Device E is used as a transfer channel for the external network connection after aligning to Device A. Device F is connecting with B and D at the same time.
As a result, the mmWave wireless transmission channel is formed between the four light poles. The intersection monitoring data and future bus monitoring data are transferred through light pole 10, and finally transmitted to the control center through light pole 1.
We set up the mmWave wireless network with high-speed and low latency data transmission of PTP/PtMP. The monitoring center can grasp the HD traffic images of the intersection in real time, and give the flexibly schedule according to the situation to improve the traffic.
WiFi routers on smart light poles are connected to the external network through the mmWave devices, which can provide high-speed WiFi network for passers-by.
The 60GHz band is not interfered by other wireless bands, can set up a safe intranet through the network isolation and make sure the safety of information.
The problem of fiber laying was solved because of mmWave’s wireless transmission, helps saving labor and materials costs.
mmWave devices take smart light poles which located at various intersections as carriers to build high-speed and secure wireless backhaul networks. Control centers take advantage of the ultra-high speed and ultra-low latency transmission to acquire a safe and stable information channel, and the city's supervision capability achieves a great improvement.
