With the development of urban public transport and the advancement of smart city construction, bus stops offer place for waiting, and also carry functions such as lighting, information delivery, culture propaganda, etc.
Jaguar Wave helps Guangzhou Development District Communications Investment Group to create smart bus stop wireless backhaul in Huangpu Development zone, Guangzhou. So surveillance video data and e-book of bus stop could be transmitted and managed through wireless backhaul.
1、Usually, the surveillance video data of bus stop will be transmitted through fiber, but laying fiber at the bus stops need to communicate and coordinate with multiple departments, which is time-consuming. In addition, it will cost a lot, because the fiber may be cut off when laying or finished, so wireless transmission is an urgent need.
2、Bus stops have LED touch screens, people could read e-books or cultural knowledge when waiting for bus. Updating contents through data package spend too much, need low-cost wireless transmission to replace.
3、The monitoring center need to get HD video in real time through wireless transmission.
Before adopting mmWave networking solution, e-book and bus information can only be transmitted by data package, that’s a huge expend. According to the needs of our customer, we installed mmWave devices at bus stops and the Guangzhou Development District Communications Investment Group Building, set up the intranet between stations and the building.
At bus stops, e-book devices and electronic bus stop boards can connect mmWave devices by switches. The mmWave device which is installed on the building, connecting customer’s internet, so the network pathway between bus stops and building can be formed by mmWave devices. Now, through our mmWave devices, e-book, bus information and surveillance video data, can be delivered wireless, fast and free.
The high-speed and low latency transmission of surveillance video data is realized since mmWave device is installed. The monitoring center now can get the real time HD pictures from bus stops, which can provide a reliable guarantee for vehicle scheduling and safety supervision.
The problem of fiber laying was solved because of mmWave’s wireless transmission. It’s high-speed and anti-interference transmission helps saving labor and materials costs.
Data package are not needed any more, the e-book, cultural knowledge and other contents are updated through mmWave wireless transmission, Ads releasing and updating can also operate in this way in the future, which will save amounts of time, labor and money.
